Preview — The Goal

⏱️ The Goal: 'It'll take two weeks,' you said, five weeks ago. You're not lazy and you're not bad at your job — you're human. Psychologists call it the planning fallacy: everyone (literally everyone, including professional planners) estimates based on the best-case movie in their head, where nobody gets sick, no email goes unanswered, and nothing surprises you. Reality has never once matched that movie. The fix isn't 'try harder to be realistic' — your brain can't. The fix is three mechanical techniques that don't rely on optimism: outside-view data, three-point estimates, and visible buffer.
